Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how the personal data you provide through Benalmádena Insider is handled. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection (LOPDGDD) apply.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is SolProp Real Estate S.L. (SolProp), which publishes this site under the Benalmádena Insider brand.
For anything relating to your data, contact us at info@benalmadenainsider.com or +34 602 533 731.
2. What data we collect
We only process the data you give us voluntarily through our forms. We do not collect special categories of data and we do not carry out automated profiling with legal effects.
- Contact form: first name, last name, email, phone (optional), topic and the content of your message.
- Relocation guide or investment report requests: name, email and, if you answer them, the optional form questions (moving timeline, budget or investor type).
- Newsletter: email address.
- Technical data your browser sends on each visit (IP address, browser type, pages viewed), processed by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes.
3. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and put you in touch with a local SolProp advisor if you ask for it — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract, and your consent.
- To send you the newsletter, or the guide or report you request — legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the form checkbox and withdrawable at any time.
- To keep the site secure and operational — legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting our infrastructure.
- To meet legal obligations where they apply — legal basis: legal obligation.
4. Recipients
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the providers needed to deliver the service, who act as data processors:
- Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to us by email.
- The CRM system SolProp uses to record and follow up enquiries.
- Our website hosting and deployment provider.
- Google Fonts, which serves the site's icon font (it receives your IP address when the page loads).
5. International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers rely on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Retention
We keep enquiry data for a maximum of 24 months from last contact, unless the relationship creates a contractual or legal obligation requiring a longer period. Subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent.
7. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to info@benalmadenainsider.com. We will respond within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.
8. Cookies and audience measurement
This site does not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. A single technical cookie remembers your language preference; it is exempt from the prior consent requirement.
To learn which pages are read we use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless audience measurement: it stores nothing on your device, does not identify you or follow you across sites, and only provides aggregated figures (page views, country, device type, referring page). The provider is Vercel Inc., which also hosts the site.
If we add cookie-based analytics or advertising pixels in future, we will publish a consent banner and update this policy before enabling them.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or service changes. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page.
